General Forum Guidelines

Prior to registering please read through the following rules and policies which you will be required to abide by as a member of the forum.

There is no need to rush into active involvement on a forum. The time spent reading the various forum announcements and discussions will give you a feel for the particular forum and it's members interactions with each other. You may get some lighthearted teasing about being a 'newbie' even at the most reputable forums, but your efforts to follow guidelines will be noticed, and will lead to your rapid acceptance within the community.

Some advice and guidelines are about general forum usage and behavior. These are generalized and should be considered when using any internet discussion forum.

An email address or domain name may not be used as a username.

Each member is permitted to have one account and subsequent accounts will not be approved or if discovered after the fact they will be deleted, attempts to register more than one account may lad to the original account being banned or removed from the board as well.

Passwords are to be kept confidential at all times and must never be shared with any other person; this if discovered would lead to immediate censure by the moderators. If you have a friend that wants to join this forum let them join under their own profile.

Photo Content

Photos posted with semi / naked content are not allowed and will be removed.
Don't waste your time posting them.

Level 2 and Level 3 some photos are allowed.

To gain access to Level 2 you must meet the moderators or see one of the BM’s that live in Phuket to be cleared for this level. ( See BM’s Business Link Page )

Flaming

Posting negative comments intended to draw a more negative response is unacceptable and is usually punished severely. Personal insults, needlessly extending a debate beyond the topic at hand, and using patronizing language are unwarranted and unwanted.

Personal opinions are fine but calling other members names is not under no
circumstances will "flaming" be tolerated. If you disagree with a posters opinion fine give your own opinion but do not attack the other poster. We welcome healthy debate but delete attacks on other members, when these come to our notice (please report any that you see).

Using localized slang should be avoided, as it will not be understood by the majority of the board community.

Respect other forum members

This is a two way process. You should be careful not to be abusive or offensive and you need to be mindful that the other person may not have intended to cause offense. Tolerate the opinions of others even if you disagree with them.

Personal Disputes

Heated debate or exchange between individuals should be taken to the personal messaging system 'PM', email. Personal attacks should be reported to the forum moderators rather than responded to.

Spamming

Making repeated posts that say basically the same thing or creating multiple topics about the same issue are considered SPAM. Spammers should be reported to forum moderators, and should NOT be replied to. You wont become one if you use the 'Search' feature before starting a topic and avoid repeating yourself.

Trolling

A 'troll' is a person (or group) who posts provocative comment and then sits back in amusement watching the antics of those who get overheated and vocal. Their actions are akin to harassment, and they should be reported to forum moderators.

If a member is banned for any reason and attempts to rejoin under another name you will be labeled a "Troll" and will be banned again under what ever name that "Troll" joins as, no reason will be given. Should you feel that you have been banned by mistake or you find that you are blocked for any reason please do feel free to contact by email the moderators.

Short Posting

Frequent brief posts of the 'I agree', 'LOL' or similar type clutters a forum, uses up bandwidth and server space, and renders any 'Recent posts' feature rather useless. Your contributions to forum discussion should add something to it.

Issues not Discussed

Police, Politics & Politicians in Thailand, The Royal Family, any illegal activity ie under age sex, drugs, gambling and any actions or decisions of the moderators plus any other topics not considered fit for this board by the moderators.

Advertising

Linking to a website in your forum profile or post signature is not allowed. Expect any advertising spam you post to be deleted, and possibly removal of yourself as a member. If you have a Phuket or Thailand business and have signed up to be a member then please email your details and a link can be added to our board members link page but you must be a active member to keep receiving the free advertising..

Phuketforums.com takes no responsibility what so ever for any posts, contenty or photos that members post. Should there be an offensive or derogatory or for any other reason any post that you feel should not be on the board it is up to you the member to report it for a decision to be made by the Moderating Team.

At no time is any liability or responsibility taken by anybody concerned with Phuketforums.com for any content of any post on this forum and any information given on this forum. Photos on this forum may be removed from the forum for any reason that the Moderating Teams sees fit.

Moderators seek to make the community enjoyable for as many people as they possibly can. They do their best and if you disagree with a decision, contact them via PM, rather than airing complaints in public.
